April Ipsy Bag Review

Hey everyone! Today we’re going to talk about my April Ipsy glam bag. This post is a little late, but I wanted to make sure I had used each of the products and could give a full-review for you guys!

This month’s bag was very cute, I love that it’s getting closer and closer to Summer, because colors keep getting brighter and brighter! This month’s bag was teal with a bit of a tie-dye look to it with yellows and oranges throughout.

April Ipsy Glam Bag

Here is what I received this month:

Nth Degree: Moroccan Argan Oil and Keratin Hair Serum – this product is pretty great for someone who has curly/frizzy hair that wants to be able to straighten their hair completely without the damage. I’ve used this product a couple of times. I can’t say that it would replace any of my current products in my routine, but it smells nice and it doesn’t leave my hair feeling sticky or greasy.

Tarte: LipSurgence Lip Crème in Wonder – I absolutely love this brand. So, I was instantly excited that this item ended up in my glam bag this month. This color, however, is not for me! The formula of this product is very creamy and has a nice smooth finish that leaves your lips feeling soft and hydrated. It also has a slight glossy finish to it. The color payoff is very nice as well.

Luxie Beauty: Dreamcatcher Tapered Highlighter Brush 522 – I’m not one of those people who will go out and buy really expensive makeup brushes (I typically use e.l.f. brand brushes). So, when I can get them through Ipsy, it makes me pretty happy. I’ve been using this brush for a couple of weeks now with my ColourPop Super Shock Cheek highlighter in Smokin’ Whistles. I really like this brush, it gently dusts the highlight on to your face. The bristles are really soft and dense enough where the brush does a good job of picking up the pigment from the product as well. I recommend this brush, it’s become a part of my beauty routine.

Probelle: Nail Lacquer in “In or Out” – This nail polish is a really cute shade of polish. The formula is a bit thin and wet, which I typically don’t enjoy. However, the one thing that I was impressed with was that even though it was a thin product, the first coat was almost completely opaque. I’ve had the polish on for about a week now and it just started to chip, so it lasts a long time too. I don’t know that I would seek this specific brand out to buy on my own, but I am definitely enjoying my sample!

Starlooks: Cream Eye Shadow in Rose Gold – I have saved my least favorite for last. This product is a liquid eye shadow that comes in a tube. The consistency is similar to that of a lip gloss product. The color was really pretty, however, the actual formula of this product was not something I could get over. When you apply the liquid product to the lid with the doe foot applicator, it remains a liquid for quite some time before it dries. So, therefore, if it isn’t completely dry before you open your eye, your eyelids will stick (bottom lid to top of lid) and then when you blink the still-tacky shadow will transfer from one part of the lid to the other. I tried waiting long enough for the shadow to dry completely as well, but it took forever and just wouldn’t be practical. It also cracked and crumbled on the lid when dry. I didn’t keep this product and I also wouldn’t recommend.

Have you guys signed up for Ipsy yet? What did you get this month? Let me know in the comments below!
