ColourPop Lippie Haul & Swatches!

ColourPop Lippie HaulHey everyone! If you’ve been here for a while, then you already know that I’m obsessed with ColourPop and especially their lip products! So, recently they’ve launched a couple of new lip products and formulas and I wanted to try them all out! I purchased a wide variety of formulas and I have swatched them all below.

ColourPop Lippie Haul Swatches

First up we have two Ultra Satin formulas: Lyin’ King and Panda. I have others of the Ultra Satin formula and I have to say that the Ultra Satin formula is my absolute favorite out of all of the lippie products ColourPop has to offer. Some of the things that make it my favorite are that they are still somewhat matte looking when applied, they are super long lasting, and they don’t dry your lips out the way the matte formulas do.

Next we have two of the original Lippie Stix in a Sheer formula: Whip and Tiger. These two are a more glossy formula, and because they are sheer, they aren’t super opaque. As you can see above, Whip is much more pigmented than Tiger, but they both have great color payoff. If you’re not looking for heavy color, these are a definite go-to.

Next we have two of the new Matte X formula: Back Up and Barely There. The Matte X Lippie Stix are a more recent formula as well. They’re very matte – even more so than the Ultra Matte Liquid Lip formulas. I have to say that I don’t reach for these two as much as the others, one reason is that if you have any lip “imperfections” meaning chapped or dry lips, these will show every single flaw and almost emphasize them. They are also super drying. The color payoff of this formula is amazing though.

Next we have another original Lippie Stix in a pearlized formula: Wet. I purchased this one because I realllly wanted to get some Ultra Metallic Lippies, but they were all sold out at the time and this one was the next best thing to a metallic formula. This color is interesting for sure! It’s almost a copper color with a gray undertone. I love it.

Last but not least, we have the newest additions to the ColourPop lip collection, Ultra Glossy Lip: Piranha and Finders Keepers. At the time I ordered these lippies, they were offering a promotion that if you purchased a certain dollar amount, you would receive a free sample glossy lip. So, I chose these two colors. I absolutely love both of these. The formula is amazing, it isn’t sticky or thick and you barely notice you are wearing a gloss. Piranha is a sheer finish and Finders Keepers is a crème finish, which means it has more color payoff. Since this haul, ColourPop just launched their full collection of Ultra Glossy Lips and I will definitely be purchasing some additional colors and formulas also!

That’s it guys! Do you love ColourPop lippies just as much as I do? Tell me what your favorites are below in the comments!

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow Swatches!

Swatches 1.PNG

If you’ve been here for any amount of time, you probably noticed I LOVE ColourPop! Their Super Shock Shadows are among my staple beauty products. I swatched my favorites for you so you can see for yourself how beautiful these shadows truly are.

Swatches 2

Above we have some of the lighter shades in the group. I ❤ This is a beautiful shimmery silver shadow (great for a brow highlight). Cheap Date is a true yellow gold color. Hanky Panky is a matte taupe shade that is a great transition color or for a natural “no makeup” look. Blaze is a darker brown shimmer with yellow glitter that shines beautifully. So Quiche is a grey-brown color that has gorgeous purple shimmer within it.

Swatches 3.PNG

Above are some more of the darker shades. First is Nillionaire, which is hands-down my absolute favorite ColorPop shade. It is a brown bronze color with shimmers of red and yellow gold, which are beautiful in different lighting. On The Rocks is a darker bronze brown color with yellow, green, and red glitter. Moonshine is a darker brown color, great for a smoky eye look and has red and green glitter as well. Lace is a deep purple with beautiful purple-toned glitter. Envy is a dark black with gorgeous purple glitter.

The color payoff with these shadows is incredible. The swatches above are one swipe of each color. If you’re looking for a bolder or darker look, you can definitely layer these shadows as well as blend them together to create an amazing look!

ColourPop Haul! … and review

ColourPop Haul

Hi everyone! Today I’m super excited because I finally received my ColourPop order in the mail! After trying the Ultra Matte Lip liquid lipsticks and loving them, I was determined to try a bunch of different ColourPop products.

Products I ordered:

  • Super Shock Eye Shadows in Nillionaire, I ❤ This, Disco Ball, and Hanky Panky
  • Lippie Stix in Lumiere, Westie, and a Lippie Primer
  • Highlighter in Smokein’ Whistles

I’m so excited to share my thoughts on these products with everyone. I absolutely love this company and am really digging everything about these products right now.

Let’s dig in!

Super Shock Eye Shadows

These eye shadows come in a white pot that holds .07oz/2.1g of shadow. The consistency of these shadows is amazing. I’m not kidding when I say this, I’ve truly never felt anything like this before. To the touch, they’re almost the consistency of a gel or cream shadow. But they’re nothing like a typical gel or cream shadow – and I would know, because I reallly dislike both of them and avoid them at all costs. Usually cream and gel shadows don’t set, and when they do, they set in the crease of your eye lid, they wipe off, and aren’t long wearing, and you have to wear a primer with them. These Super Shock shadows are nothing like that! When you touch the shadows, they have a pillowy, light, and slightly wet feel. To get the best application, ColourPop recommends you apply them with your finger tip. When applied, the shadows go on as a slightly wet shadow, but set to dry. They literally stay on all day and they don’t end up in the crease of your eyelid. ColourPop claims the Super Shock pots should last up to a year as long as you close the lids super tight to preserve the wetness and keep the air out. One of my favorite things about these products is the affordability! These Super Shock Shadows are only $5 a pot!

Nillionaire: This one is my favorite! This shadow is a beautiful coppery gold color and it is very metallic. I typically apply this color to most of my eyelid below the crease. When applied, it looks like a beautiful neutral brown with gold and rose-gold glitter mixed within. The glitter also lasts all day and doesn’t have any fall-out.

I ❤ This: This color is very sparkly! This color is a silvery color that leans more to the grey side. This is also a metallc shadow. It has silver glitter mixed within. When applied, it looks more white silver. I typically use this color on my upper lid, closest to my brows as a highlight color. This color is also very pretty and extremely sparkly. Love!

Disco Ball: This shadow is another metallic color. It is a really pretty black that has glitter in it. The glitter shines gold and green. I typically use this shadow on the outer corner of my lids. This color would also be beautiful as a base for a smoky eye look.

Hanky Panky: This color is a matte shadow. It is a very nice neutral brown/tan color. It is the perfect color to use as a transition shade – especially on light skin. I typically like a little more color on my eyes, but if you’re someone who loves a natural look, then this would be a great color to use as the primary shade for your eye look.

Lippie Stix

The Lippie Stix are amazing! They come in a white twist up tube with the color swatch on the bottom along with the name of the shade. You receive 1oz of product in each tube. These Lippie Six glide on very nicely, and the applicator is perfectly sized for anyone to get a nice controlled application. The formulas come in glossy, matte, suede, sheer, crème and pearlized. The two shades I ordered are both matte. The formulas of both matte Lippie Sitx are super creamy and not at all drying like the liquid matte lipsticks can be. The wearability of these is pretty impressive. They aren’t a long-wear lip product, but they did last a lot longer than what I expected before I needed to reapply. They typically last on my lips up until I eat – they will not make it through a meal. These are very pigmented as well, I applied two coats (or swiped the product over my lips twice) and the color was incredible. Each Lippie Stix was only $5! I mean, how amazing is that?

Lumiere: This color is absolutely gorgeous. This color was created by KathleenLights and I think she did an amazing job! One of the reasons I was drawn to this color is that it’s a shade that I think would look good on almost anyone and on a wide-range of skin tones. The shade is a beautiful mauvey pink color. It’s just dark enough to be darker than most natural lip colors and just light enough to not look like a cranberry shade on pale/light skin tones.

Westie: This color is also amazing. Westie is a very pretty baby pink color that leans more to the purple side. I would describe this as a lighter and pinker version of Lumiere. I think this color would look good on any skin tone as well.

Lippie Primer: I ordered this primer Lippie Stix because I was really hoping to use this under my Ultra Matte Lip liquid lipsticks. Since using chap stick or Vaseline doesn’t allow those formulas to dry matte, I don’t like to use them with my liquid lipsticks. This primer works perfectly with the Ultra Matte Lip liquid lipsticks and also under the Lippie Stix! The packaging is the same as the Lippie Stix and the product is white in the tube. When applying, it doesn’t really feel like you’re getting any product on your lips (if you press your lips together, it feels like nothing happened). But, if you look up close, you can see there is a layer of the product on your lips. This product works great to fill in any of the lines or wrinkles on your lips to get a more perfect look when applying your lip product on top. It also helps in the wearability of the lip product.

Highlighter

So, I ordered Smokein’ Whistles highlighter – but when I opened my package, the highlighter was missing! I immediately contacted ColourPop’s customer service (they don’t seem to have a phone number, but you can contact them via email). I let them know that I didn’t receive my Highlighter and within a few minutes they responded and gave me a coupon code to re-order the highlighter for free and they also included free shipping. I placed the re-order today and received the verification email that the highlighter is on it’s way! I must say, I’m super impressed with the quick response and the friendliness of their customer service.

Update: I received my Highlighter! So, as I mentioned above, I didn’t receive the Smokein’ Whistles highlighter as I had ordered and I emailed Customer Service and received a coupon code to enter on their website for the full cost plus shipping to order another. I submitted the order that next day (Thursday of last week) and received my order in the mail today (Monday of this week). 4 days!

Smokein’ Whistles: This highlighter is absolutely gorgeous. It is more on the bronze side when you look at it in the container, and it has a rosey-pink tint to it. It is the same pillow-y consistency as the Super Shock Shadows (the highlighters are Super Shock Cheeks) and it is in the same little white pot that the shadows come in. When you touch it, you can see that you immediately get that shimmery light highlight. This color looks great on my skin tone, but they have a TON of different colors and hughes to choose from!

Overall, I’m so impressed with ColourPop products and I fully intend to buy more of their products. Have you tried this brand? What are your thoughts?
